At Baby Junction we hire the Safe n Sound Baby Safety Capsule. The cost of hiring is $75 for 6 months plus a $40 refundable deposit when the capsule is returned. This capsule is suitable from birth to 9kgs. Further information on this capsule can be obtained by visiting the Safe n Sound website.

When do I need to book?

We recommend you phone us approximately one month prior to your due date to book the installation of the capsule. We recommend installation one week prior to your due date.If baby decides to arrive early we are always happy to assist with an emergency fitting!

How will I know how to use the capsule?

One of our accredited child restraint fitters will install the capsule into your car and demonstrate the use of it. If you require advice on things such as repositioning of straps as baby grows we are always happy to provide advice.

What else will I need?

We recommend the purchase of a head support for newborn babies. We stock the Goldbug Head & Neck Support at $19.95. The option of purchasing a new liner is available however we take great pride in the cleanliness of our capsules. A mirror is also advisable which enables you to view your baby from your rearview mirror whilst driving. We love the Baby Dante Mirror at $34.95, however Dreambaby make a smaller mirror for $9.95 which is also effective.

Do I have to use a capsule?

No, the use of a rear facing seat suitable from birth is another option.
